Personally, I don't think I would. I'd be waaaaayyyyy too paranoid for several reasons.

Many florists will not make you a sample until a couple of months before the wedding AFTER you have booked. They will often show you examples of their work. I booked my florist with out a sample center piece. His work is great and it was evident from the work I saw in his shop and the photos of other people's weddings.

I would need a sample. When my florist comes up with the final idea of what I want, he will take a photo and that is what I am getting.

most florists wont make samples till you book. As long as you see their work, the price is right and you feel comfortable with them there shouldnt be an issue.

i did. he showed me tons of examples of his work, and completely understood our vision so we felt very comfortable booking him without seeing a sample for our affair.

We have yet to see a sample...they don't do it until a couple months before the wedding.
I have huge confidence in their work, many people have been happy with them before and if I don't like the sample they make I'll basically insist they keep retooling it until I do like it.

yes i would... i think if you see examples of their work, both photos and in person you should be confident in their ability to do your cp

I did - she showed us a bunch of pics based on what we wanted and I feel confident she'll give us what we want. We'll get a sample a few months before the wedding and they also do it the day before so you can see if you like it.

I saw samples of her work and things that she was working on, but I did not see a sample of mine yet. I do not mind, the stuff she was doing was beautiful!

I booked with out a sample, and I'm ok with it. We went to his shop, I saw his work in person as well as his portfolio, and I felt confident. We'll get a sample before the wedding and he will make any changes that need to be done right there until we're happy.

I would personally like to see a sample before booking. I'm not saying a sample of every single thing, but definitely the centerpiece. I want to be able to see first hand the quality of the work (not just in a picture).

Yes. Every florsit I went to would not show you a sample until after you booked. As long as I saw pictures of pieces they have done, I would be ok.

I am about to book a florist without seeing a specific sample of my day of flowers, and I don't feel I need to. When I went to their showroom, they had dozens of pieces, low and high centerpieces, and EVERYTHING they did was absolutely amazing. Also, they told me they will make me samples of everything approximately 2 months before my wedding. I have 150% confidence in them.

What florist will show you a sample without booking first? Honestly, I've never heard of that, so I am curious.

i think that as long as the florist can show you a portfolio of their past work and you can see that they are consistent with their work, then you shouldn't be too worried to book them.
it doesn't make sense for a florist to build you out samples, cause what if you don't book? and if they did that for all their clients, that's a lot of $ wasted. that just doesn't seem like a good business plan.
