Would you book with a florist if you didn't see the sample?

Personally, I don't think I would. I'd be waaaaayyyyy too paranoid for several reasons.

Umm honestly I didn't go with one florist because they wouldnt make me a sample. I mean I know its just a sample and the real thing will look better, but it helps to get an idea of what your centerpiece will look like, especially since you are paying over $100 for one!

I think if they had a picture of a centerpiece that was exactly what I was looking for, then I wouldn't mind booking. My biggest fear is that w/o seeing a sample, how do I know that they will ever get the vision that I'm looking for!!! From a business perspective, I know it could get expensive, but, they can always charge a reasonable/fair price to make a sample.

I didn't need to see a sample because I'm using the same florist my MOH used. But she did make us a sample before signing the contract.

I was comfortable seeing the samples in their showroom when I booked them, then waiting til 2 months before to see my actual sample. Flowers cost a lot to get and I wouldn't expect a florist to make one up for me on the spot just to get me to sign. Again, I saw about 10 samples out in the showroom, and was able to get a sense of their work (+portfolio photos).

I did. A lot of florists wont give samples until after you book and a few months before the wedding. I feel completely confident in my decision.

I don't know of many florists that will show you samples first, before you book. I saw plenty of samples in the book that she showed, and I was confident based on that. I didn't see a sample until about 2 months before the wedding.
And at the wedding, the CPs were amazing.
