Would you buy china for yourself?

Original post by BlondeJD

We registered for formal and casual china and we got nearly every piece of casual china (yay!) but the only thing we got from our formal china collection was the creamer (don't ask! ).

So, if none of your guests/family bought you your formal china, do you think that you would go out and buy it for yourself or just not have formal china?

Jenn, over the years our parents bought us place settings. We still don't have it all, but I don't have a dining set yet or a china cabinet.

Probably not right now. Maybe later on in life.

I am definitely going to buy the china myself. I still have 7 place settings to get , but at least I got all 12 place settings of my casual china. I have been adding up everything that is still left on my registry at Crate and Barrel and Fortunoffs. I think I am going to take advantage of the 10% off and just buy everything at once. I know it is going to be a ridiculous amount, but I think I would just feel better getting it all now .

Heck yes I am! I'll ask for it for X-mas too, but I'll definitely be completing the collection on my own.
