we are thinking of redoing our one bathroom...and taking out the tub and just putting in a kickass showerstall...with benches and room...(since I haven't taken a bath in years...I get skeeved out by the dirty water)
but our RE agent told us that we could not list it as 1 bath...it would have to be 3/4
since we only have one...would that be horrible? its a condo...not a house...
the bathroom is configured weird...its about 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and the sink is outside anyway...but we are thinking about closing in the sink...but it wouldn't leave room for a separate tub and shower

Re: would you consider a 3/4 bath?
When I bought my condo...it was advertised at 2 full baths....one bath has a bathtub, the other has only a shower stall. I bought it anyway...I don't think it makes a difference unless there are kids. And...if your place is only 1BR...there won't be many 'families' looking to buy it from you...you will probably sell to another single or couple...or older person who doesn't need a tub. Go for it!

With this as your logic, go for it! Shower stalls are easier to clean, and they can be made to look really nice. I'm not a bath person either and I prefer the stalls.
All this time I thought I was the only one.

Re: would you consider a 3/4 bath?
our apartment has a '3/4' bath.
our shower KICKS BUT.
it's HUGE with four shower heads and it also is a steam shower...
It's amazing- everyone always comments on it.
so if you have the $ and can make it fabulous- then go NUTS- I think a really really nice shower is better than a regular bath b/c you shower more.
