i also agree, unless it were my mother/sister/grandmother's dress with some kind of sentimental value, I'd rather my own.

i say if you love her dress then wear it- sit down with her and talk to her about it- and gauge her response- but i think she wouldnt have offered it if she didnt mean it....
I do like the other girls suggestions of changing it alittle- mabybe add a sash, a different veil, different accessories, but make it your own.

If you like the dress and she is really willing to lend it to you go for it. As long as your ok with it and she is ok with it there is no problem.

ps if you do go for it just make sure she is not the type of person who will be telling everyone she is wearing your dress.
