People told you to pray for your baby to have black hair and blue eyes??

No, cause I was one of those people who was praying. I got a dark brown with blue eyes and darker shade of brown with deep eye. But he also go a beauty mark just like Cindy Crawford and he has a cutsey smile so I do not think it is crazy. But, look at the probablilty between the two of you

IMO...i would freak out but i think that prayers are saved for having a happy and HEALTHY child...not to have specific hair or eye color.. that is a little vain imo...

i think people say a lot of stupid things...or things they don't mean...or just say things in passing that have no meaning...
i'm sure hubby wants above all to have a healthy baby...and his dark hair/light eyes comments are probably being taken out of context.

let me add here so you dont think I am editing. i prayed for a healthy child. but really really had a prefrence to a specific eye/hair color. I also wanted a girl but hey, I got the eyes and healthy children. what more could I ask for???

It was just a general question from an encounter I had .. I'm not pregnant or even close to being 'ready' to try .. but I was shocked by a course of conversation .. which definitely did not seem like someone saying something careless in passing .. it was a direct statement meant whole-heartedly.

Whenever anyone asks me what I want (as far as my pregnancy goes) I tell them I want an easy pregnancy and a healthy and happy baby. I've never heard of anyone praying for hair or eye color. To me - weird. But then again, my Aunts are annoyed that I want to be surprised about the sex of the baby. They want to be able to buy all pink for a girl or all blue for a boy. YUCK

No! I would say as long the baby is healthy. Dh and I are not thinking of having a Baby until maybe the middle of next year like in sept hopefully I would like to be Pregnant!
