LOL. No to the gambling problem, yes to the meeting new friends but I don't know if spending 72 hours together is the way to do it...

I would feel very uncomfortable, especially with people I'm not too familiar with.

personally, I wouldn't go ... if it were your friends, that's one thing .. or if it were just for the day, that's another..

but spending a weekend with a group of ladies you don't really hang out with wouldn't be my cup of tea

nah, i wouldn't go . . . she probably doesn't expect you to, but invited you just so that you'd know you're welcome there. I wouldn't stress it.

I agree with the other posts and wouldn't go either. First of all, a bachelorette party is expensive - a bachelorette WEEKEND, in AC to boot, is really pricey - and unless I was in the BP or very close w/ the girl - no way would I spend that kind of money!
Second - it's a nice gesture to invite you and all - but isn't the Bachelorette party usually just the BP and/or close friends & family? That is a long time to spend with people you hardly know, would you even enjoy it if you did go? I wouldn't stress over it either, just send your thanks and politely decline. You'll see her at the wedding!

I wouldn't go. It's too long and you arent that close, not to mention the expense.
If you guys arent that close then she probably wouldnt be offended if you skipped it.
I invited a lot of people to mine because I felt I had to...and I was kinda glad when it ended up just being me and 7 of my good friends instead.

I wouldn't, but I tend to be on the shy side and would feel uncomfortable. I have spent a few hours at showers where I didn't really know anyone, and I've felt very uncomfortable. So a whole weekend would be hard.

She probably just put you on so that you didn't feel slighted, which was a nice gesture. But, I'm sure she doesn't expect you to go.

I would gracefully decline. I actually went to a weekend bachelorette party of someone I did know and afterwards wished I hadn't. I knew the bride and one or two other people, but for me, it was WAY too much time to spend with a lot of people I didn't know that well. I would do this again only for a family member or extremely close friend.

I would go - It could turn out to be a lot of fun! If your looking to be friends with these girls, this is the perfect time to bond! IMO
