Would you go alone? Or am I a weirdo?

Alright, Alright. I KNOW I'm a weirdo anyway. But my sister is working all day & I really wanted to go try on wedding gowns today. Should I go alone? I know it's not as much fun w/out someone there, but I only have like 6 & a half mos. till my wedding. Should I go today?

I went alone and it was fine...I did end up switching my gown but it was still fun.

It can't hurt to go and look - choose a few you like, then take your sister back with you later to get opinions!

I don't see any reason why not. At least you won't feel like you're annoying everyone because your taking so long, like I did.

I went with a MOH to look at dresses at first, but then I went alone to RK where I got my actual dress...

I went a few times with moh, once with my mom, and once with 2 bm's and found it very stressful, so I decided to just get up and go one day by myself, and it was fantastic, I didnt have everyone elses opinion of what was nice, I got to decide for myself, I ended up finding my dream gown that day, and went back with mom and moh the next day to show them, they both cried.

I think going alone is fine, especially if you want to. You can always bring someone back to look at one you really like before you make your final decision.

I could never go alone! I am too indecisive, and needed a lot of help making up my mind.....

I needed my friend there to get me in the dresses. Those things are huge!

Personally, I wouldn't go alone but thats just how I am. I can't do anything exciting alone. I like to share the experience with another person but do I think your a weirdo if you were to go alone, NO not at all...there is nothing wrong with that.

OK girlies! I'm going today to look at dresses BY MYSELF! I'm the youngest of the 5 kids in the family, so I always feel like I need someone there. BUT, I have to get on the ball here & also, I don't mind going alone. It was only when I told my mom & sister that I was going alone that they gave me doubts. They were like, 'HUH? What? You mean ALONE? WHY? OMG! That's a shame, why don't you wait for someone to go with on the weekend?'
WHATEVER. I'm so used to that kind of attitude from them. I can't even tell you what I had to go through when I told them that I was flying to Vegas to surprise my FH while he was at a convention!
BTW... I had such a blast in VEGAS, BY MYSELF, while FH was at the convention!

I went with mom, but i don't see anything wrong with going by yourself. Check out a few gowns and styles that you like, and if your feeling brave try a few on. No biggy. Chin up, you'll be fine

I don't think you're a weirdo at all! I went with people at first and all it did was make me doubt my own taste and lose focus on what I wanted. I ended up picking my dress on one of the two shopping trips I made alone. I did have people come to see my choice after it was ordered. The people at the bridal salon said it's more common than people think to have brides come in alone.

I went with some BM's once, and twice with FH. I know that's breaking tradition, but he actually has a better eye for what looks good than most women I know. Plus he wanted to go. We had the best time and he was there when we picked out THE DRESS.

The first time, I went alone, and it wasn't that great of an experience. I don't know if it was the store I went to or the fact that I was alone. The next time I went with one of my BMs and we had such a great time. It was nice to have someone there to ooh and ahh over you and give opinons. It made it much more fun than being alone. However, I don't think it can hurt to go alone, you can start to get an idea of styles you like.
