i wouldn't go over my budget for favors (other things maybe, but not favors) ... but that's just me - if you absolutely can't live without it, then go for it

IMHO, for me personally, I wouldn't go overbudget on my favors only because I think alot of people tend not to keep favors sometimes. But if you really love it more then any other favor, and you can swing the extra $200, then go for it!

so factoring in labor + wrap paper + tags + (Assuming they come boxed) = its more like $9.50-$10 per favor? and per couple or per guest?

I would say Yes for YOU bc I know what a hard time you have had trying to find favors.

However, I personally wouldn't. Sorry... I could use that $200 somewhere else more important to ME....

They would be per couple. DEFINITELY not per guest, lol.

The only reason I'm even considering this, is because it's actually useful and practical and because I've been going crazy in the favor department.

oh boy this would make me go crazy too... $200 is not a lot in the big pic...but $200 can be used somewhere else

i say keep it in your top choice and try to find something similar a bit closer to yoru budget...

if you cant go for it!

for something like favors i probably wouldnt. its just a favor and imo its not that important.
if you can swing it then go for it but if you are looking at it like 'whats another $200?' then just remember you may have done that along the road already and might do it again before your wedding and all those 'whats another $xxx' will add up
