I like this one Paloma Blanca gown...however...I called all of the LI stores that carry this designer and they do not have a sample in their store. Sooo..I started calling NJ stores. I finally found 1 store that has the sample...but it's in Parsippany, NJ!!! It's about 1 hour and 20 mins from my house. My mom said that if I really wanted to try it on she would go with me. I don't know if it's worth it though to travel to NJ just to try on one gown.
What would you do? Would you go to NJ to try on one dress you like??
Here are some pics of the dress.
UPDATE: Sooooo...my mom and I took the trip to NJ today! It was raining and I hate driving in the rain and we got a little lost....but the trip was sooooo worth it!!!! I absolutely love the dress!!! It looked so beautiful and the sample fit perfectly on me (which is great bc the lady at the store said that she would be willing to sell the sample to me if we want the sample). My mom also loved the dress and started tearing up when she saw me in it. She said that the trip was definitely worth it. It was the first wedding dress that I have tried on...ever.....I tried on some others there but this one is my fav. I couldn't take pics because they don't let you until you say you're going to buy it.
I'm going dress shopping again tomorrow (in LI) and will try on others that I love...but as of right now this one is DEF in the running!!! yayy!!
sure would. I drove an hour to CT to try on a dress because they were the only ones that carried it. Granted it wound up not being the dress but at least I can get it out of my mind.
DO IT!

Maybe you should pick out a few more gowns from that store that you're interested in trying on. I wouldn't pin my hopes on one gown period! But, yeah, I'd drive the hour and a half to try on dresses. I drove an hour from Queens out to Patchogue to purchase my dress!

There are a bunch of other gowns that I'm really looking forward to trying on as well...but they are available in LI. I think I will always wonder about this dress though so I think it's best to go to NJ to try it on!

Re: Would you go to NJ.....
typically i would say no and just work with what's around you but that is a really beautiful dress... very elegant! i'd go for it. a road trip is always fun. good luck.
(personally, i haven't started dress shopping yet so we'll see if my initial 'no' holds true in the next few months...i'll probably be driving to MA)

Definitely go! Try 'em all on in one spot! And good call on the no tax in NJ- I forget who posted it, but I didn't even think of that!
