Would you guys block rooms...

How would you guys block hotel rooms if your ceremony is in Westbury and your reception is in Rocky Point? We want to block rooms but I wasn't sure if we should just look at hotels close to the reception hall? Thanks ladies!

I would look at hotels close to your RH since that is where people will be going home from after a few drinks and a little tired. The closer to the RH the better.

I would pick a Hotel close to the Reception, try Holiday Inn on 347 in Stonybrook, Hampton Inn, Exit 64 LIE, Radisson exit 64 LIE, Danfords in Port Jeff, I'm getting married in Shorham (not to far from Rocky Point) and I tried these hotels..the only thing is they were all booked so I ended up with the Court Yard Marriot in Ronkonkoma Hope this helps

Defiantly the RH. People are going to be drinking and tired by the time the party is over.

i would go with halls that are close to the reception. And I'd book soon -- I found out (I just blocked rooms) that hotels will only block for two groups or so for one specified date. And you want to make sure you get a hotel that won't hold you financially responsible if the rooms don't get booked.
