i think they are more appropriate for a Bat Mitzvah or Sweet 16

nah..our e-party coming up is just a dinner and more of a get together...

If you are having a DJ and dancing, why not?? They are a lot of fun!! I don't think they are necessarily reserved for kid parties.

I think that an engagement party is more low key.. if you like them, have them for your wedding!
