I am going on my 3rd week at my new job and have become tight with my director/ boss. She gave me a chance at this job even though I didnt have a degree and paid me alot more than I thought I would get. By the time I get married I would have been here a year.
How about other people in the office. There is really only 1 other person I speak to on a regular basis. So it would be an additional 2 people. Of coarse I would give them the invite any time soon

I honestly would wait it out a bit. 3 weeks is not very long to have known someone to include on a very intimate day - especially a higher up. Since your friendship is so new, I don't think she'd be expecting an invite either so if she does get one in the future, I'm sure she'd be pleasantly touched.
It's easier to issue a late invite than have to take it back

For your situation I would wait to invite her. Like don't send her an STD and wait to make your decision when it comes time to send the invites out.
I have a similar situation with someone here at work. I'm not technically her assistant, but i do a lot of stuff for her and she is always coming to me with projects and whatnot because we are on a hiring freeze and I'm really the only one that can help her. In all honestly, I'm not very fond of her but she is a president here and even if I did invite her I don't think she would come. I'm just on the fence about it because if I don't invite her, it may look bad on my part but at least if I extend the invite, she might think 'That was nice' still not come, but at least I get a gift out of her LOL.
As far as inviting other people from the office, I am inviting my 2 bosses, some of the assistants here (the ones I am close with and would actually hang out with outside the office) and 2 of the sellers that work here who I used to work for.

umm no-i've been on my job for 3 years (will be 4 when we get married) and i'm not inviting any of my co-workers. But i'm not really close with any of them outside of work.
I MIGHT invite 2 girls from my last job-I worked there for 2 years and we still get together every couple of months for drinks & to catch up.
But if didn't have any form of relationship outside of work with them i wouldn't be inviting them...just my opinion

I know if I give these 2 ladies an invite they will make sure and come. They seem to go to everybodys functions. I kind of will feel obligated to invite my boss after being here a year. But like everyone said i will wait and see.

I justt started my current job in September and although I have lunch inside the school with these people I would not say we are friends yet. We are still definitely coworkers. By the time invites go out that may change but as of now they are not on my list.

I'm inviting most of my coworkers...definitely everyone on my team and then a few extras. I see these people every day we're all very social at work. They all know I'm getting married, i think it would be akward if I didn't invite them.

I don't think you should invite someone just out of obligation-especially if you're not close. would you invite them to your house for a party? or a baby shower when that time comes?

I think it depends on the relationship that u have with them. If you are close and have a nice relationship...go for it. If not no.
As far as co-workers...if your not friends with them outside of work..I wouldn't bother. No sense in wasting money on people who don't even know you.
