OHH we are staying at the Matangi also!! Did you end up booking your trip through Impulse Fiji? We looked at the Likuliku resort, but decided on the Warwick in the Coral Coast. Would you be staying in an overwater bungalow? I actually don't think $1300 for an overwater bungalow for 5 days is as much as I thought it would be, but I think it would only be worth it if you were staying in a bungalow.

since it doesn't look like there are overwater bungalows at the first place (that awesome treehouse!), i think $1300 isn't pricey at all. that's less than $300 a day for a totally different type of accomodation. is food included?
(i think the third link is more similar to the first one that you booked so id pass on that.)

OMG, THAT'S MY HONEYMOON!!! Lalati in the Honeymoon Villa then Matangi in a Treehouse!!!
We considered Likuliku also but decided on Lalati b/c Lalati is very close to Pacific Harbour and that's where we are doing a lot of excursions (i.e. Ziplining with Zip Fiji & WHite Water Rafting with Rivers Fiji)

That's our problem between choosing Likuliku and Lalati. I really love Likuliku and it costs $4100 for 4 nights compared to $2800 for Lalati. We want to go Ziplining and stuff too though. Yay, we're in the treehouse at Matangi also.

Either way, you will have an amazing time! Which accomodation would you be staying in at Lalati?

Oceanfront villa - they don't have the honeymoon available. I wonder if they have ziplining near Likuliku?

do you have the info for the ziplining and white water rafting...we chose to stay in the Coral Coast in a bigger resort for the first 5 nights, but now I have been seeing some bad reviews and I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I have to see what the policy is for changing hotels once we gave our deposit. I didn't even ask about Likuliku because I figured it would just be sooo expensive, but that price doesn't sound that bad at all.
I'm so excited that now we have more people to discuss Fiji with

Re: Would you pay extra for this?
i would not pay the extra $1300 .... BUT i might stay for one night in the very fancy place, and the other 4 in the other place.
Whatever you choose to do, just make sure you don't regret anything ...
