Would you pay for a product that wasn't to your satisfaction?

Would you pay for a product that wasn't to your satisfaction?

I purchased something from a wedding vendor and I was and still am EXTREMELY dissapointed. It was all wrong. I haven't spoken to her b/c she is not available at this time and she is doing some other things for me that I should be getting next week and I feel as if I shouldn't be paying for the clearly wrong and carelessly done items.
The MAIN issue here is that I am on a time constraint and I needed this stuff out this week. So I am at a loss right now. I don't want to send out a half a$$ job to my guests and that is what bothers me b/c I am not a half a$$ person and KNOW I would have done a better job if I had done this myself. The person is not available till tomorrow and I don't want to mention anything on the boards until this is all resolved. I am just looking for suggestions on how I should handle this.

Listen if you specified exactly what you wanted, and it didnt come out that way, I would def say something. She just might correct it. The vendors here care very much what we say and think, so speak up and get this corrected as soon as possible!!

Definitely don't pay for it unless it's corrected in a timely manner to your satisfaction

The thing is I don't have time. I wanted to drop these things in the mail tomorrow so they would get in time before the due date I had.... UGH!!
When we discussed the sample she sent me, SHE even told me it won't look this way it will be this and that. I just wanted to get a sample out to you since we are really close on time and all...

I guess it depends how bad it is. If it is too late, send them, but let her know & maybe she can discount them. If you use them, you van't realy not pay for them, but there isn't tiem to have her do them over.

At work when we get books that are wrong, but will suffice, we usually just get a discount on the production costs.

The thing is, I don't think I can send these out looking the way they do. I can't actually. Because if I did it myself as I had originally intended to, I wouldn't send them out looking like this at all... Once FH sees them, he won't like them either. And he is already telling me to return them because he can hear it in my voice how dissapointed I am.
Thanks everyone for you suggestions and once this is all finalized I will post this on my review.

I would make it clear to the vendor that the quality was not up to standard. If she wants your business she should offer to fix the problem, and quickly. Is it something you can now do on your own if you have to?
