Would you rather have a huge diamond on your ring, but with crappy color, cut, and clarity?
or would you rather have a small diamond but with perfect color, cut and clarity?
assume both stones cost approximately the same.
just a random hypothetical question
i'd go for the huge but crappy diamond because frankly, most people can't tell the difference and at least it would look more impressive.

my stone is about 1.5 but almost perfect . d color and i think a vvs2
to me, color and clarity are wayy more important.
i'd choose my diamond over a 3ct yellow dirty diamond anyday

huge crappy (well as long as the color wasnt very noticeable)
to the naked eye you cant usually see that many imperfections unless its really bad

mine is 1 carat and really good color/clarity.
i would've loved to have a bigger stone... but not if it was all crap looking.
but, i wanted at least a 1 carat.
immmmm sooo vainnnnn.
so if it meant getting a smaller stone than 1 carat... i'd lesser the quality.

i love my ring... center stone is over 2kt but it has a lot of flaws, FH offered to get me a replacement stone, I told him no... this one has character.
