I would spend that on any shoe that I really loved so I dont see why not. If you can afford it and you wont have a prob paying for th eother things that you need then go for it.

Yes - I did. I really really really tried to find something cute, inexpensive and with a low heal - but couldnt. So I splurged on my Kate Spade shoes that I can always dye black after the wedding.

Same here. I had budgeted $400 for shoes and ended up finding shoes for $80. Now that extra money can go to something else.
