would you use dress if....

would you use dress if....

Having lost all perspective on this... If you had been engaged before, bought the dress (and everything else) and the wedding had been called off, amiably, but still, called off....would you wear the first dress if you were ever to get married later? Very curious as to opinions on this....Thx!

I don't know what I would do, but I do know a girl who wore the same dress to her first and second wedding! She loved the dress and it still fit.

HA! that's too funny! I knwo the oppostie--soementhat called of the weddign & then it was back on, smae guy, differnet dress!
I think she had bought 3 dresses before they actually got married.
(Sadly, they are now getting divorced)

I think I'd get a new one, b/c I love to shop & its part of the excitment of getting married. I probabaly wouldn't have held on tot eh other dress, I would have sold it or given it away to close that chapter of my life.

my FSIL did this. without worrying about her dress she was able to plan her wedding so much easier. she still loved it so i don't even think it was an issue for her.

I would get a new one. I LOVE my dress but I would remind me of my ex.

depends on how much each cost...my FSIL bought her dress for $99 at the Wedding Center, and then called off her engagement, but felt like the dress was so cheap it didn't matter. If I spent a thousand or more, I would consider using it instead of paying for a new one...

I probably wouldn't have kept the first dress to begin with. If you did - you must REALLY love it, so why not wear it.

it depends bc i know when i bought my dress i bought it with him in mind too (what he would love to see me in) so if thats the case i'd probably sell the old one and get a new one

i did. i was engaged before and had the dress. It was never far enough into it for fittings.
I loved the dress so i decided to keep it and wear it for my wedding. i have no regrets!

If that was your dream dress, then of course! Now you have the dream man to go with it
