Would you be mad or feel put out if you were invited to a wedding either the day before or the day after Thanksgiving???

I didn't answer the poll, because I wouldn't really be mad at either. I think I might have been in the past, but now, actually going thru all of it and paying for all of it, I can totally understand.

Also, I don't really cook, so I just show up on Thanksgiving, so it's not an inconvenience for me, but I can see how someone who is doing all the cooking or hosting might be a bit peeved.

I would not be mad at either, but if you are asking for an opinion I would say I would prefer the day after since you would have the entire weekend to relax and eat leftovers

myself personally--i'd rather go to the day AFTER turkey day than the day before.

i don't think i'd be 'mad'--cause i'm a bride and understand better. but others sometimes just don't feel the same way---no matter what you will never please everyone!

i would not be mad.....although i would def prefer the day after....just a preference.....but no it wouldnt bother me.....if im gonna get fat i might as well do it all weekend!!!

i think more ppl would like a 4 day weekend..so if they are off thurs for turkey day all they need to do is take fri off as well.....so thats my vote! the day after!

I have had a wedding the day after thanksgiving for the past three years.... I have been in 2 out of the 3 of them...... I think it's a great day to have a wedding because the large majority of people have off....and it's a great way to 'kick off' the weekend.... I wouldn't worry about people being mad. The people that love you most, will be there anyday....

I would rather a wedding the day after, then you dont have to worry about getting up and cooking the next day, etc...

I think the day after thanksgiving would be a good day, I actually considered it for a while, i was working on figuring out when xmas decorations go up and down. I ended up picking a date after xmas to still have the decorations instead of before.

the day before thanksgiving is a big night to go out, i usually see high school friends once a year on that night - id rather go to a wedding on the friday after.

and traffic and travel is probalby worse on wed than on friday.
