Would you be mad or feel put out if you were invited to a wedding either the day before or the day after Thanksgiving???

As most people said, I think the day after is a great day. The day before people are busy preparing for thanksgiving & traveling so definitely the day AFTER...

I wouldn;t be mad. But I think the day after Thanksgiving would be easier, I think. The day before is the busiest travel day of the year. The roads are insane!

It actually works out well - our families always gather for Thanksgiving anyway, so we're saving guests a flight.

The day before is always a Wednesday and one of the biggest travel days of the year. I'd much rather attend a wedding the day after T-Day.

the day before i would be put out... juggling work that wednesday and then battling trraffic etc. for thursday. but after would be fine-=---the weekend has started! it would be especially good if the wedding was in my home area and i was already home for thanksgiving...

Oops I voted for the day before when I meant to vote for the day after. The day before is too hectic because you have to prepare all the food. Plus you might be too tired to wake up early and host a Thanksgiving dinner if you're at a wedding the day before.

nah i wouldn't be mad ... i totally understand now you have to do what you feel is right ... i am having my wedding July 3 i hope no one will be mad at me for picking that date ....

I would prefer the day after. The day before is too hectic and most people will be cooking and preparing for Thanksgiving.

I think the day after Thanksgiving is a great day to have a wedding because most ppl. have off that Friday and then the Saturday after....it's becoming a very popular day to get married. FH and I were at a wedding last year and this year on the Day after Thanksgiving.

I wouldn't be mad at either day. I now understand that couples have reasons for selecting the date that they did.

As for a preference, I would prefer the day after. There is too much prepping and planning the day before Thanksgiving for me. The day after is actually a good idea bc I think a lot of people are relaxed and it's a great break from turkey!

I would be mad either way and probably wouldn't attend the wedding. Since my entire family is in NY and I don't get to see them all that often, I wouldn't want to give up my family time to go to a wedding. Of course, it would depend on whose wedding it was and where it was located, but I most likely wouldn't go on either day.

I like the day after thanksgiving. People usually take off work anyway and then you have the whole weekend after it!

The night before thanksgiving is a Wednesday, not as much fun!

I know a lot of people that are put off by weddings that are around holidays, but if I had to choose I'd say the day after. A lot of people don't have that Friday off, so they probably don't have plans for a long weekend to begin with. And really, if they don't want to go they don't have to.

i would never be mad-- it's a wedding, if i'm invited i must care about the person or persons getting married...

i would probably prefer the day after thanksgiving just because i do so much in preperation for thanksgiving but if it was the day before i would never be angry or upset about it.

i would do whatever you feel is best and no matter what, it's unfortunate, but there are ALWAYS going to be negative people who are not happy with something-- you can't please everyone. you just need to do what's best for you and FH. HTH!!!

I dont mind either way. Most people have off the day after Thanksgiving. But going to one the night before is like a Friday night wedding. So either way is good to me.
