The picture of the girl in the reflecting pool is of someone who is on the DC knot. She said that her and her hubby almost got arrested taking that pic.

My sisters in laws are phtographers and they do those pics all the time but its all photo enhanced. Looks so real and it isnt!
(im sure ppl do it though...dont think id ever do it! I agree buy a cheap dress and trash it!)

I think those are really cool pics and since I have no idea what to do with my dress now, I would consider it except my dress is so heavy i think if I went in the water with it on I would drown!!
Speaking of drowning, I don't really like the shots where the bride looks like she is dead. And drowning.

OMG some of those pics are amazing. I would totally do that...however I couldn't do that to my parents since they are paying for my dress..I would feel awful...
However, I found a new way to recreate the trashing scene. FH and I are going to take our e-pics at the beach...and are prepared to get dirty and wet
He will wear a nice shirt with nice black pants and I will wear a summer type dress and we will play in the water and etc...I can't wait...

I would def do it, I dont really plan on wearing it again ever
plus it was pretty trashed by the end of the night- it had a nice black ring around the bottom about an inch and a half high from playing on the beach close to the water, and because it poured the day before so there was mud everywhere. it went completely around the entire dress, including the train.

That looks awesome! And they're right, our daughters probably won't be wearing our dresses in 20-30 years. Think about it...how many of your mothers have their dresses stored away? Would you even consider wearing it? I wouldnt...my moms dress was great for her, but awful for me and for 2008! So....do it ladies! Trash those dresses!!!

Couldn't do it. My mom actually held onto her dress for over 30 years!!! She JUST got rid of it, but cut some lace and buttons off and I am going to pin the lace under my dress for my wedding

I would do this in a heartbeat. However I would buy a cheap off the rack bridal gown and do the photos after the wedding.
