went on a girls only vacay?? I have been thinking I want to go visit one of my best friends & bridesmaid who lives in london. I was in her wedding last year and right after they moved. i am a teacher so i have mid winter break in feb. I was thinking of meeting my friend in either paris or portugal or maybe amsterdam for 5 nights. we went to hs together and are really close. my friend and her husband will be in our wedding. they come to the us frequently and spend time with us but we have never been to visit them.
my fh has made comments in the past about other ppl going away without their partners and he hates it. I'm going to ask him would he be ok with it when he gets home tonight. i just feel like since my fh is in the police academy now it's not like he'll be bored at home w/o me.
what would your fh say??

My fh is actually so good like that. He would probably drive all us girls to the airport and pick us up too, he's done it before for our girls only vegas trip.
That said, I can see why some guys would not want their wives our gf's to go, I think it is actually pretty common.

update: so i asked him and he said that i should go and have a blast but he will miss me. oh, and he said NO DANCING w/ other guys. lol...
He said if i said i wanted to go somewhere tropical that was a no no b/c that's a partying trip and he would want to be there.

hahaha london is a bigger party place than an island actually, most caribbean islands dont have many clubs or not great ones at least but london has some pretty good places and lots of them.

wow, i go away once a year with my girlfriends - no boys allowed! sometimes we even do overnight trips without the guys. it is SO much fun and if FH ever told me i couldnt go, id be really hurt. hes a big boy, he can handle it. on the flipside, sometimes he goes away too like for a ski weekend with his friends. i have no problems with it whatsoever. i little time apart never hurt no one.

FH doesn't mind when I do all girl trips. I'm not sure if he would mind Europe since neither one of us has ever been.

neither one of us has gone away without the other with the exception of me going to visit my parents alone.........
we dont do trips without one another.....i dont like it and neither does he.....of course, if one of us REALLY wanted to go somewhere for a few days i dont think it would be an issue - it just has never come up yet.....i wouldnt go away b/c i think i would miss him too much and MY DOG!!

Every guy is different but my husband is always ok with me doing things alone. Throw the trust thing at him. If he trusts you to be away from him, he should be confident that you'll be safe and our relationship wouldnt suffer because of it. I went through the academy days with my husband while I was planning our wedding too and I know what it's like to not have him around for MONTHS!! LOL It STINKS!! With all the studying that he has to do, he probably doesnt get to spend much time with you so it's not like he'll be sitting on the couch bored and lonely while your away! Good luck! I hope you get to go with your girls and you can still keep the peace at home over it!

my Fh doesnt really get mad at those things. i mean sometimes you just need a girly trip. ive been w/FH for almost 8 years and have gone on quite a few trips w/just my girlfriends.
