...... I ws late ordering my invites and they need to be sent out this weekend. They came in today ( ) however, my outer envelope has the wrong zip code.....
Do I:
1. wait another week for the new envelopes to come in? 2. Mail out as is and hope for the best?
Also, do I request a price reduction??

I had them printed locally so I went back to the print shop and showed them the mistake. They apologized profusely and will have new envelopes to me by the end of the week with the CORRECT address
They are also not charging me for printing the envelopes at all -- I thought that was a nice touch

Did they mess up or you? Dont send them out with the wrong zip code... the zip code tells the post office where it goes.

I WOULDN't take the chance with a messed up zipcode
call them and have them do them quickly and fed ex it to you...if you send them out next week you'll be more than fine...they say to send out 8 weeks ahead of time which for you would be the week of november 19th

They messed up -- everything else is perfect and the return postcards have the correct address, which is what really matters.
However, my fear is, what if we have a wrong address and they try and send it back to us and it never gets here??

If they NEED TO BE mailed out ASAP then I wouldnt worry about the zip. If the post man knows your address the zip wont be a prob. I would see if I can get my money back or some of it if the misprint was their fault. or see if they can send you new ones and have them rushed to you so you can get them out asap

I would wait the next week. IF they messed up- they should re-do them without charging you!
You are right, you may have some returned mail- and trust me this happend to me with the wrong zip code... a package went to the wrong post office adn it took a month plus to get it back!

Exactly. DO NOT send them out w/the wrong zip code. You never know what could happen and then they won't find their way back to you and then you won't know who didn't get them until you're stuck waiting for the RSVPs.
You have time for them to redo them. Good Luck!

honestly you have some time
i was told to send out my invitations on nov 1 for my jan 12 wedding so you have at least two more weeks
my first invites were messed up and we got news ones in days
i wouldnt send it out with the wrong zip - get it fixed!

CALL THEM! why should you pay all that money to have a mistake???? tell them you need new envelopes ASAP!!!!! SO sorry!

I would wait to get the zipcode fixed, you don't want any errors on the return..also if they messed up then call and tell them you want the whole process expedited, they owe you that much

`as long as you didn't write it incorrectly or sign off on a proof with the wrong zip code they should and most places will do it for free and maybe second day ship it. That is what my print shop does.
