Wound up in the ER

Hey all, Im worried now yesterday at work I got such a bad migraine I had to go over to the ER where they gave me a shot of Imitrex. I guess all the stress just got to me plus it was extremely hot at my job yesterday which just adds to it. I got a prescripition for it now just in case, I just hope this doesnt reoccur closer to the wedding etc. I havent gotten one of these attacks in 2 years. Any advice to avoid future attacks, advice?

I don't know how to avoid them..avoid stress, avoid other triggers, fi you fee it coming on, try to take an advil and go somewhere quiet and hope it dones't become full blown. Imitrex is a GREAT drug btw.

Im the same way. I dont really know how to avoid them, but I try to stay hydrated and eat, whenever I even fell like I might be starting to get one I down a few advil and hope I get it in time, otherwise Im off to the pitch black silent sleep - thats the only thing thta helps, if I can get to sleep. Good Luck, I am worried I will start getting them more as the wedding gets closer too.

P.S. I also want to go for another MRI of my head to make sure nothings going on, because I always get my migraines in the same spot every time.

Stay hydrated. Are you already on Imitrex? Works wonders for my friend.
