I didn't post this earlier because FH and I were still discussing, but............
We had FIL's over for dinner Friday night, and they offered to pay for our honeymoon!!!!!! They said they know we want to go to Australia and that it's going to be a pricey trip, and since my parents are taking care of the wedding, they want to cover the honeymoon!!!!!!!!
FH and I thought we were going to be saving up to pay for this ourselves, but now we can save up to buy a (much needed) new car instead
Australia, here we come!

A girl who used to work with me in NYC, got transferred to Australia. She stopped by a week ago and she said she absolutely loves it!! I am soo happy for ya!!!

I know! I can't believe they offered that. We always knew that they'd offer to contribute, because they're pretty well off, and he is the first (and possibly only) of their 3 children getting married. FMIL has been waiting for this almost as long as I have
But we NEVER would've anticipated them paying for the WHOLE honeymoon, especially Australia!
Joanna, FMIL's birthday is Monday. We bought her tickets to go see Tom Jones (she loves him) and a Mother of the Groom handkerchief
ETA: FMIL was telling us that FH has never really asked for much when he was growing up, so they want to show their appreciation for that. He's one of three kids, and the only one that went to community college and then local (FSIL and FBIL both went to Fairfield). He has also worked since the day he turned like 14, whereas FBIL didn't get his first job until after he finished college.

That is awesome!! I am a bit jealous. FH and I want to go to Australia and Tahiti...but no one seems to be offering to pay. LOL. But I am determined to make this trip happen!
