My friend got engaged & she is looking for July of 2007 and some places only have 1 or 2 dates left! That is nuts! People thought I was crazy bookling in 9/04 for a 7/06 wedding & I told them they just don't get weddings on LI
Also, if you want 07-07-07 (on a Saturday) some halls are charging extra

I booked my hall April 04 for a August 06 wedding. We were told that they were booked WELL into 2007 already. When I booked my limos, they were already booking for early 2008!

I booked Villa Lombardi's in October 2004 for my March 2006 wedding. The dates do book up fast. I think the hall is the first thing most couples book first, aside from the church or cermony location. Plus doing it earlier will get you a cheaper rate. I work at the Watermill as a cocktail hour manager on the weekend and we just book our first 2008 wedding this weekend.

Wow, that's harsh that they're charging more for that date!! But it's true we booked in Feb '05 for June '06 and some places already had some bookings for 2007 already!! It's insane!!

When I booked my hall in 3/04 for 7/06 there were already Saturdays that were booked for July 06.

I had to drastically change my date to get my hall because they were all booked up. But it turned out for the best. I really like my date now!

Wow. I think July books faster than June because some halls charge more for June. Who knows.... I'm looking for Saturday Nite in June/July 2006 and there really are no July dates, other than Sunday/Friday. However, I have been given dates in June and May. Really have to go in with an open mind.
