geeeez - i thought i'd be safe booking at the 1 yr mark

I'm seriously considering just using a local salon for my hair anyway.... My ceremony is 5pm on a Fri, so I have plenty of time during the day to go somewhere local, I guess.

Still stuck on makeup, though.
Did anyone meet with Marie Katz? I know she's very close to me.

She is really sweet and easy to work with. I hardly ever wear make up so I was scared for my trial, but she did a great job!

I would believe it!! I booked both of them in March 2006 and they were already booking up for 2007....glad I booked them 20 months in advance!!!

You can definitely use a local hair and makeup girl, I would consider the same thing if Oksana & Jenn had been booked for my date.

aww Nicole I'm sorry. I know the time that you are getting married (that weekend) is very popular. That stinks but I do have a great make up person that works at a salon in St. James. I was just telling Melissa about her-- she is great.

I had my make up done by her before my cocktail party and it was the BEST make up job EVER-- but I already have Jacqueline Nicole booked-- NOT that I'm not so delighted with Jackie! But I don't think the salon lady comes to the house-- so I just went with Jackie. BUT if I was going to a Salon I would have gone with her in a second. I have had my make up done A LOT over the years-- this lady was #1! She runs the 'beauty bar' at Sivana Salon in St. James.

Also, they are great for hair if you want your hair done there too. You can set up a trial and they talk to you for a while about 'your look' and what you want and everything-- and they really listen!!! Not only that, but she was so good at giving me exactly what I pictured... She used to work for Bobbi Brown.
