Two people now, yes two that are invited to my wedding thought it was ok to bring along TWO other people instead of and guest....
one is bringing her grandson and his girlfriend, don't know either of them one is bringing her sister and her mother, don't know either of them...
Who does that?!?!?!?
I'm letting it slide cus we think our numbers will be under min anyway, but what if they arent and others keep doing this?!?!

I would respond that unfortunately you are not certain if you can accommodate extra people due to your invite numbers, but if you are able to accommodate them you will let me know.
& yes I would be P*ssed off. I have my mom on standby for those calls. My family may get out of hand, so we will have mom keep from inviting everyone they know.lol

I agree with this. You need to make it clear that the acceptance needs to be on your terms so that others don't attempt to do this as well. Good luck!

Call them up and say that unfortunately, you do not think you will have room for the people they added. I do not even think I would tell her that if possible, you'll let them know later. This is a wedding, not a backyard bbq. They don't get to invite whoever they want.
People are weird. I hope I do not have to deal with this when it's my turn!

I don't understand what people think sometimes??!! And even if they are older oyu would still think they know better or they might have consulted with people about this before RSVPing and that person told them it was wrong and rude to do something like that.
good luck but i agree with the others you need to put an end to it incase you are over your min or you have other guests doing the same thing.

You know what on second thought, Mici is right. No don't even give them the option to invite others if you have room. If you have room there are people YOU can choose to attend from your B list (if you have one). It is not their choice!

Wow, that's crazy and annoying. I think I would nicely say something to them. I'm worried about that happening with us since we're not inviting kids to the wedding. I know I'm going to get the responses back with 5 people when I only invited 2!

I haven't gotten that far yet but I will be so mad if people start doing that. Our RH can only hold so many people so i will have to make the calls to tell them 'No' they can't come! so rude!

That;s ridiculous. Some people just don't get it. Like the previous posters mentioned, don't keep making exceptions because it can get way out of hand and before you know it, you will end up going over your max.
