And I forgot to consider the fact that FH's aunt and uncle might literally tell us they can make it the week of. . .his uncle is stationed in NJ and is supposedly going to Afghanistan, but they don't know when.

we invited 136, our min was 100... and the final count: 99! we actually didn't meet our min!!! i know the feeling! can't believe it! my dad says it probably has a lot to do with the economy. stupid economy

I was worried about it last week since I was still at around 84 Yes and our Min is 100 (which they'd lowered when we booked from 150 -- boy am I glad!)... it's creeping up near 100 now, and I realized I didn't put myself or FH on our list.

You still have a bit of time before the wedding and can create a small B-list based on what your responses look like over the next few weeks. I really wanted closer to 125 at our wedding and have already asked a few extra people I wanted to invite in the first place.

It'll all work out!!!!

at least for my hall, vendors are not included in the count... they are half price once you meet your min but full price if you dont (and therefore would be included in your min)

And if our mailman was actually competent this week, we could actually have some more YES replies out there! We haven't received mail on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday of this week, and we haven't received it yet today (hasn't been delivered because our neighbor still has a letter he's sending sticking out of his box). GRR.

same thing @ my rh - same goes for kids. half after you meet the min else they count towards your min

I just told three of my 23 year old brother's friends that they could crash if we needed them. So we should be good. . .hopefully!!!

I got a 'No' facebook message earlier today, but I think it will be followed by the response card.

I'm a little miffed because so many of my friends are among the unresponsive... cmon people... don't you care about me?

We had a couple that told us a few days before that they couldn't make the wedding since one of them had been rushed to the hospital with diverticulitis. So even though our final count had been given to the RH and we had been told we couldn't change it after then, they actually hooked us up and removed them from our count! Sad that the people couldn't make it but glad we didn't have to pay for them! You could always try something like that if it's just one or two people
