We have plenty of outstanding RSVPs from the 227 we sent out, and our minimum is 150. We have 127 yes, 29 no. . .and among the people who haven't sent in their replies yet, there are at least 10 people who will be saying no. Wow. . .I didn't think this would actually happen!!!!

I just IMed someone who hasn't responded to see if she's going to come...
her twin sister is a LIW bride... you'd think she'd be sensitive to the 'send it back on time!' issue...
I'm going to go shower and see if she replies soon.

Vendors can count towards your minimum if you don't meet it, as well as kids, if there are any. But if you make it, they can just be paid for at a discounted rate. At least that is how it is at my RH. But that is only like 170 people, you invited 227. I think you will be ok. I am still waiting to hear from like 50 people.

We asked our hall and they said if we were about 5 short it was no issue and we are having a much smaller reception.

My RH counted vendors and babies towards our mininum. Then they only split the difference with us. For ex, we were 20 short and then they still made us pay for 10...but we were allowed to take the meals home. If you are 2 short, that's not too many...take the dinners home If you are a lot short, they will sometimes let you upgrade CH with the $$.
