i wanted to see what the average cost of things were in monaco but instead i got this list. London is the most expensive and average monthly rent is 10k and thats in euro it shows a bunch of other european cities and their housing prices...even moscow is so high
omg its unreal isn't it? the american dollar has become so WEAK in europe!
i remember when i went to belgium two years ago--and the dollar had reached the lowest point at that point ever---0.67 Euro for every $1 american dollar.
we basically lost 1/3 of our money exchanging it--and nowadays -- they don't take american money like they used to.
the GBP in Britain is VERY valuable and its unreal the costs out there. A hamburger there would cost like $12 here!!!
WOW i remember when it was so cheap to go to europe. Even my MOH was telling me when she went to spain, they would go out to restaurants get alot of wine, lobster and the bill would come out to $70, then she was like oh wait its the euro now so nevermind hahahaha

yea well the canadian dollar was never even equal to the value of a US dollar and look at how thats changed? i dont blame em id be happy too and love the US

I know, most of my guests are coming from europe (england) and they think the price that they are paying for the hotel is great. And they all going to shop in Manhattan for brand name stuff because it's way cheaper.
I try not to shop when I'm in London because I know I can get better in the US for cheaper price, but they have the greatest stuff over there when it comes to clothes.
yeah fh wants to do alot of shopping while were on our HM in europe, i have to remind him he'll be paying more

It's crazy how much everything is. When we went to Italy it was crazy. everythign was so expenive. For a t-shirt it was over $300!!! And it wasn't a big designer. I barley spent any money on anything over there. All of Fh's family is coming in April to stay till the wedding and all they will do is shop!!

as an ex patriot you get a lot of expenses covered by your company if you do it right, probably the only way to go.
I can't wait to get out of NY. FH and I have a lot of money saved but it isn't near enough to be able to afford even a 300K home which is sad.

I KNEW how expensive it is, and especially with the euro its so expensive even just to buy clothes, go to dinner and regular things like that. 10,000 euro for monthly rent wow, even though i knew its expensive in europe still crazy to see those prices.

I'm surprised Stockholm isn't higher up on that list! FH and I are looking at getting a bigger apartment here and we want to stay in the same neighborhood, which just HAPPENS to be the most expensive in the city! It's worth it, because it's gorgeous around here but if Carl's grandparents weren't buying it for us, we would be out of luck! Most are a million to buy and then you still have to pay rent/matienance!
