Choosing BMs is so hard. But do you notice that its nat as hard for the FHs to choose their BM? Guys are so muich more lais back and don't have so much drama.

HA, not with us!!! one of our Groomsmen is being such a pain in the butt!!! and our best man has pi$$ed me off more than once!!! and another was close to being kicked out at one point!

i didi - my moh was horrible - so much dramam and she doesn't speak to me anymore...

ps - she was my sister to top it off....

I am thinking the same may happen to me.....

I was a BM in one of my friend's wedding and the MOH n another ones'. When THEY got married, I went all out for them. I made favors to their engagement parties, I made sign in boards and photo collages for all of their parties and showers....I was so thrilled to be in their weddings and took the job with gusto. Now THEY are in MY wedding party and haven't lifted a finger to help. My engagement party was done by me and FI and our parents....no help from the girls AT ALL. I even asked one if they could help decorate and she said she was too busy! INSANE!
When we get together, we are the loudest group in the place, and it's like no time has past, but I really wish that they would put in a little more effort now that it's my turn.....

I definitely did. At first I only asked my sisters(I have 3) and FSIL. Other then one of my sisters, who is MOH, no one else ever took ann interest in the wedding. It was really depressing me. I guess it's because they are all married and this is no big deal to them. I ended up asking 3 more people to be bridemaids who were supporting me thoughtout all the planning. They are thrilled, and now I have a bridal party who care!

I totally did! I asked my ex-best friend to be my MOH & was only planning on having her(no BM,s), but within 3 months of planning I realized she was not going to be the support I needed, so another friend who had started to help me w/ everything I asked to be a co MOH & she agreed. Through the course of my planning my ex-best friend was horrible & after a huge blow out at my bacholerette (sp?) party(which ruined it), not only did she back out(& we have never spoken to each other again, so much for 9 years of friendship), but so did my other MOH(she just decieded she couldn't handle the drama, but at least she still came to my wedding & we are still friends). This all happened 6 weeks before my wedding, but lucky for me my cousin stepped up & became my MOH. I wish I would have kept in the family all along, but hindsight is 20/20!

My MOH, although I love her...she has not been helpful to anyone. I knew she was traveling this year...but now that she's back she has not helped the BM's at all with the Bachelorette party and I feel so bad!

2 of my BM and my MOH have kids under a year old so need less to say kids come before weddings, money is strapped b/c of the kids and I can just imagine what people will be backing out on b/c of the kids. I love all of the babies and I've done so much for them during there weddings, pregnancy and showers I just hope they give the same back when my day comes around. Oh and another BM is my room mate from college (asked too soon on this one) I love her to death but she's all the way in PA and she's still in school so she's broke. She keeps asking me if she is still a BM and she is but I could see it being a problem if she cant make it to the shower, bacholarette party, RD and what if she cant afford it?
