I purchased a sample from a vendor......she cashed the check for $6.50 last week.......
The b!tch is no longer a vendor........NOW WHAT?? i mean its $6.50 but still???? she has my routing and account number from my check....im kinda freaked out? am I supposed to report it?

don't worry - just monitor your bank account and report anything out of the ordinary - maybe use pay pal the next time?
also - i had a similar situation where my vendor disappeared, only to find she had set up her new shop under a diff name - so maybe try to search for whatever product and you'll find her again under a new name?

what!!!! ???? maybe the vendor will contact you? did you try emailing the vendor?? just monitor your bank account.. i use paypal for all the ebar/etsy purchases...

she didn't accept paypal...only some other payment method that I never heard of, that I didn't trust, so my idiot self sent a personal check

I would def report it and also call your bank ahead of time before something happens it will take longer to get your $$$

That's totally sketchy. Definitely report it although there's probably not much they can do if she's no longer a vendor. Thankfully, it was only $6.50!

I use Etsy all the time and thankfully have had great experiences. I would never mail someone a personal check though. PayPal usually sides with the buyer not the seller so there's protection there. It's just like shopping on Ebay. Just use your best judgement and read the seller's feedback!

i would contact your bank and etsy just to be safe...hopefully it's nothing though...stinks to deal with that though
