WTH is WRONG with people???

I swear, there is NO common courtesy anymore!

I was crossing a parking lot, had looked both ways and no one was coming, was halfway across the lane and this BIATCH in a truck somes barreling out of a parking row and almost mows me down!! And then, turns and gives me a dirty look like I did something wrong!
And if that wasn't enough, I was walking into the store and some young girl on a cell was walking out diagonally across and almost smashes into me! No excuse me, sorry...she didn't even look at me! Its like these people think they own the world!!

I know I am PMSing b/c I wanted to turn around and smash the girl in the head!!

I always try to do nice things for people. I'm the one who lets the lady with less items ahead of me in line, waves people through when merging, etc. I'm a big believer in KARMA...lets hope its true! Vent over

I hate when you hold the door for someone and they don't say 'thank you.'
I wonder what's wrong with people these days too.

Oh, I hate that too! Another peeve of mine! Sometimes I get so annoyed I just say 'you're welcome' anyway

Things like that make me crazy!! It's like these people think they are the only ones in the world or that all eyes should be on them.

Thinkgs like that happened while I was shopping with my sister. SHe parked in a spot but wanted to straighten out so as she was backing up some guy puts a cart behind her car. When we are pulling out some guy decides to back down the row to take the spot coming within inches of the car. I don't even want to talk about the people with vehicles.

Sue I always say extremely loud after the jack a$$ walks through the door YOUR WELCOME!! People are just nasty.

I was about to cross the street (i had the green) and this old man cuts right in front of me to make the right turn (he had the red!!!). He almost hit me!!! So his window was open and i yelled in 'Pedestrians have the right of way!!! A -HOLE!!!!' Look before you just decide to make a right on red, cuz yes... peds DO have the right of way (when we have a walk that is)

people are in their own little selfish worlds!

I don't even know where to START with my pet peeves with people like this. My favorite is when I am out for a run, obeying all laws, crossing where I am supposed to cross.

A few times cars turning into or out of parking lots cut me off. I get so pi$$ed off. 'Hello, I'm running here!!' One time I just was so angry I banged on the woman's car so hard and so loud. My hand hurt the rest of the way home, but it was worth it. The day someone hits me when they are ignoring that pedestrians have right of way, I can't WAIT to slap a lawsuit on that moron, JUST to teach them a lesson.

ok here are my peeves-
right on red- people dont STOP, look, THEN make their right...they coast. I actually saw someone who had a red light cutoff another car with a GREEN light...just so they could make their right turn! (on his cell of course)

and...cars cutting off peds who are crossing driveways of supermakets, etc. Peds have the RIGHT OF WAY.

driving peeves go up about 1,000% when Igo into bklyn..my old turf. K turns and u turns in the middle of the street with heavy traffic both ways!!!

I think this is a real problem in NY...Its amazing to see the difference when you move away...


except the driving...CA drivers are worse that NYers...

You are right Lisa, there is little common courtesy anymore.

Although, I have to say I find LI to be really bad - I think people in the city are more courteous. (Don't mean to offend anyone, JMO!)

Traffic on both LI and in NYC are horrendous. People in NYC just don't seem to care about anything but themselves and are always rushing around like what they have to do is sooooo important the world will just END if they have to wait for a second and let somebody cross the street, or hold a door for someone.

But Long Islanders seem to have a huge attitude problem. I've lived on Long Island my whole life, and only when I started seeing how people are in others states did I come to realize how completely selfish and nasty Long Islanders can be. Nassau is worse than Suffolk, but Suffolk is quickly catching up. The East End is a class all by itself!

Long Islanders seem to have this sense of ENTITLEMENT. They have chips on their shoulders and walk around like everybody OWES them something. I wouldn't say it's that they're spoiled, but they seem to think everything should revolve around their needs. It's like, here I come, get out of my way!!!

This comes out in the little things, like letting someone merge into your lane, or holding a door, or saying hello, or letting someone ahead of you if they have less items at the supermarket. If you wait for half a second after the light turns green, someone is leaning on their horn behind you. God FORBID you obey the sign that says NO TURN ON RED! I've actually had people pull around me and curse me out because I wasn't turning. DUH!!

Sometimes it really makes me lose faith in people.

Ugh! I took public transportation to work while I was preggo and rarely did people get up. I didnt mind when I was 7 months pg but at 8 1/2 months it was really hard to stand for a long time, I carried very low. People looked the other way and pretended they didnt see me. Then when someone did offer a seat, all the heads turned with a 'oh I didnt realize a pregnant person was standing there' look on their faces. They all had the same look.

Worse than that, my SIL was preggo and took the LIRR home. You know how there's always that jockeying for position to be in the right spot when the doors open to allow people to enter? Some guy shoved her really hard and she said something to him. He said to her (no joke!!) 'It's not my problem you're knocked up, get over it.' Can you believe that????
