WW girls: food ideas please!

WW girls: food ideas please!

I've been on WW for about a year and half. I've done so well on it, and I'm a lifetime member.

The last 2 weeks or so, I really slacked off. So bad, I just feel the weight gain I still need to get weighed in for July and I am not looking forward to it.

Being the proactive person I am, I started fresh on Monday, counting and tracking.

I think one of the biggest reasons I slacked so badly was that I'm bored. I've been eating many of the same foods (esp. for breakfast, lunch, and snack). Please help me out and reccomend some healthy, low point food ideas! It can be anything: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, dessert, etc. I just need something something. Or even post your 'usual' menu you follow.

Thanks girls!

Re: WW girls: food ideas please!

I just made a FABULOUS dinner:

Honey Pineapple Chicken
1/4 cup(s) low-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp olive oil
1 clove(s) garlic clove(s)
4 slice(s) Dole Canned Pineapple Slices in Juice
2 tbsp honey
16 oz uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast
Instructions

Mix soy sauce, oil, minced garlic and honey. Grill chicken and spoon sauce over each piece. Place 1 slice pineapple on each piece of chicken. Use extra sauce to top on chicken.

I also made a packet of the WW chicken & herb pasta side, and some steamed broccoli. 1 chicken breast, 1/2 the pasta side, and however much broccoli you want....8 points!

Re: WW girls: food ideas please!

Good for you for getting back on track

Here's some things I regularly eat.

- Cinnamon toast (light bread toasted, spray butter, sprinkled w/ cinnamon & Splenda)
- Sliced apple, sprayed w/ butter, sprinkled with cinnamon (& Splenda if you like), toss it in the microwave until it's a bit tender. Put some fat-free cool whip on that and it's like apple pie!
- Grits w/ hot sauce
- Right now, peaches are in season - they're huge and sweet.
- Low-fat string cheese
- Aren't you the pancake queen? Have you tried the Fiber One pancake mix? It's REALLY good. 3 points a serving, and you get a good amount of them. I like to mix in some blueberries...great for a quick dinner too.
- Also quick: cereal w/ skim milk
- I keep a fruit salad in my fridge at all times. It's great to snack on.
- Strawberries dipped in fat-free sugar-free chocolate pudding.
- Sliced raw veggies, dipped in hummus.

I'm sure I'll think of more

Re: WW girls: food ideas please!

I LOVE the Fiber 1 pancake mix....FH really likes it to. I've added bananas to it to make banana pancakes, and I've also done apple cinnamon ones too

To go along with Kristin's mock apple pie:

1 cored apple
1 WW chocolate caramel mini bar

Put the mini bar inside the apple (where the core used to be). Microwave for a bit or put in oven. Instant Caramel Apple for 2 points!

the fiber one pancakes are very good-i have that mix and love it

I never let myself run out of it. Once I have only a quarter of the box left, I have to get more...it's like a sickness!

More goodies:

- No Pudge brownie mix
- FF plain yogurt with mashed up berries (it's icky without added fruit IMO)
- Diet hot chocolate...okay, it's summer...but it's good when there's a big thunderstorm!
- Diet soda cupcakes! One box of mix + one can of diet soda. Delish!

Re: WW girls: food ideas please!

NP - you can find them in the 'ethnic foods' section.....where they keep all the taco stuff

Love the diet hot chocolate, I don't drink coffee, so that is what I drink every morning-yes even in the summer

Re: WW girls: food ideas please!

OMG, I must try that apple concoction, Laura!

Another:
- Skim milk + a bunch of ice cubes + half a banana or some berries + a teaspoon of fat-free sugar-free choc pudding mix + a tablespoon of fat free cool whip + BLENDER = awesome shake!
