WW Meetings?

WW Meetings?

OK, I know I keep posting on this, but Im ready to get my butt in there soon...

I went to an 'open house' meeting last week (you can go to any meeting to check it out) and MY LUCK it was COMPLETELY EMPTY, just 3 other people, so I didnt get the real 'feel' of a true meeting

I plan to join, attend a few meetings, and not go back. (just to get the materials) and I will do it on my own...

So what is the routine when you join? Are you one-on-one for that whole evening? or do they just sit with you for a few minutes to write down your info and then you go to the meeting?

Whats the structure of the meetings? How long do they last? Does the same person hold the meetings each week? (I wasnt crazy about the lady there last week)

Well when I go to the meetings. I sign in by getting my folder and then I give them my white card where they put a sticker on it for the week I attend. Then they weigh you in and you take a seat while waiting for the meeting to begin. It is not one on one. It's a group meeting and honestly I thought I was going to be going only once a month but I find myself liking it more every week. The woman who does my meetings is very nice and has a fun sense of humor so she makes it entertaining. It all depends on what you want to do...and what you could afford. Ask about the different plans they have. I find these meetings supportive and the meetings I go to is always a full house. My cousin Carmela rejoined WW so now I see her every week.

If you do go ...buy the food companion book. its helpful, forgot the price though. they have an 800 number i told you about but i forgot it now...LOL I have lost 7 lbs so far and I'm starting to see a difference in some of pants.

Let me know how it goes, did I answer your questions. If I missed something let me know.

I miss ya girl! how are the boys?

no it tells you what foods are worth how many points. And also they do it by food brands. it's a cool book.

Re: WW Meetings?

The last time I was on WW, I went to meetings. For me they were OK. I don't think my leader was the best.

This time I decided to do it online. I do all my journaling online, I record my weight myself every Wed. To get ideas on WW stuff/tips I go to their boards. I can calculate food
points, get recipes and read various articles online.

Every person is different. Some people need the structure of attending meetings. I have found that it's not for me.

Try a different meeting. Each leader and group is different

Good Luck!

If I dont like the leader of the meeting can I reuqest to go a different day the following week?

Bedda told me that in Queens they have a program where you dont have to go every week, but you must go at least 2X a month. I asked inCommack and they dont have that plan

I guess maybe it's certain locations...I did see it advertised online so I don't understand why any location wouldn't honor it.

You should be able to go to any meeting on any day you want. This one lady that came monday night was telling someone how she usually comes fridays but this time she had to come monday cuz friday she couldn't make it.
