WW need some advice

WW need some advice

I went over my weekly points allowance by about 10 - how do you all cope when you make a mistake like this. I'm kicking myself for having that second glass of wine at dinner

You could do some exercise - earn some Activity Points to compensate for it.

Also, just stick to your daily points allowance each day until your week resets; focusing on eating whole foods (fruit, veggies, lean cuts of meat, fat-free dairy products) and plenty of water will probably help too.

Don't stress it or allow it to derail your efforts - if you pick yourself up right now, you'll be fine!

thanks - I feel okay because in the past when I have done this I would say screw it and eat like a pig all day and then let a few days go. I won't earn enough activity points for the end of the week but at least I can try to

Crashing.....I agree with the above, work out to earn some activity points or take from the xtra 35 and try to be good the rest of the week. WW is good like that, it accounts for the splurge! I'm going over too tonight, I'm on my second glass of wine, and may have a third ...been a rough day.

Edited b/c I can't read! ( i'll blame the 2 glasses of wine) I see you already used the xtra 35. In that case try your best to workout and focus on the filling food and lots of water and I swear by green tea. Just don't get frustrated, we all have the occasional bad week.

i agree just stick to your daily points for the rest of the week and don't let yourself be bad anymore this week and you should be fine

Realize you made a mistake (which you did) and move on. There's no point in dwelling on what you've already eaten.

Make a promise to yourself stick to your points for the rest of the week. Get the gym an extra day. You'll be fine.

I've been on WW for almsot a year and a half. Every week, I always had one day of cheating. Just one day (for me, Sunday, starting after weigh in), I ate whatever I wanted, didnt count points. I didnt use portion control...did weigh, measure, or count. For just one day a week.
The other six days I followed the plan perfectly.

I still lost almost 60lbs. SO thats proof you can stray from the plan slightly and still lose.

I do the same thing! I figure once i weigh in, that day doesn't count anymore! It works for me too.

The thing is I had done this for about 3 weeks (screwed up and did not track) and did not lose anything. As soon as I went back to the points and was strict about counting them I lost 2 lbs immediately (even with using all flex and activity points) I'm sure if excersise i'll only be a few points in the hole...

That happened to me when I started WW last year - everyone has their slip-ups and as long as you catch yourself and follow the program, you'll be successful.
I follow their old Core program (where you don't necessarily track - of course, you can - and you eat all whole foods...they have specific lists of the kinds of foods on the program) and every few weeks I still break out the ol' tracking book for a week to make sure that I'm doing okay. Sometimes I'm fine and sometimes I find that I'm eating a bit too much.
All in all, it's the only program I've found that's structured enough for me to feel like I'm making a significant change in my life, but also lenient enough for me to treat myself every now and then.

Yup! What she said! You can't go back and change it, so no need to make yourself crazy. Exercise a little more, stick to your daily target points for the rest of the week. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT eat under your daily target for the rest of the week. It won't do you any good.

Like Colleen said, there are days we just don't do it properly....there are sometimes weeks and months that this happens. But it's normal.

Colleen lost her 60, and I lost my 50 over 2 years ago. And I've kept it off....with challenges yes, but accepting my mistakes and moving on is what keeps the weight off.
