WW ZERO POINT ITEMS

Lets start a log on ZERO POINT items for WW, so that we can start to get familiar with what we can have guilt-free, whether its delicious or not !

I know of these so far :

-Cucumber
-1 cup of carrots (PS-why do they give a measurement if its ZERO points ? Are you just supposed to have that serving size at a time ?)
-1 cup chopped spinach...

OK WW experts, chime in here, we need you !

Anna,

According to WW, carrots are now 1 point for a cup. I think it is because of the sugar.

there is a lot of back and forth on this topic--many veg are zero points but if you wat them together say in a stir fry anything over a cup is point--makes no sense-- so do what is right for you

Miro,

I agree with you on the carrots being zero points. I do not think we are going to gain weight because we eat two cups of carrots and count them as zero points!

I had a WW leader that said she lost 23 pounds eating carrots and despite what the book says - they are a veggie they have 0 points

Re: WW ZERO POINT ITEMS

I'm with all of you on the carrots=0 pts thing. When one enters 1 cup of carrots in the online points tracker, it says zero. That's good enough for me.

Here are some other 0 pt foods:
Tomatoes
Broccoli
spinach
asparagus
lettuce (all kinds)
red, green and yellow peppers
zucchini
mushrooms
onions
Broccoli rabe

Basically all vegetables are 0 pts - except the starchy ones like potatos, corn, sweet potatos etc. But I wouldn't even call those vegetables. I'd call them starches.
