WWLIWD?

WWLIWD?

OK... I am sort of offended by one of my no responses.

General background: Aunt1 doesn't get along Aunt2 (they're sisters). Therefore, the kids (and grandkids) of Aunt1 don't get along with the kids (and grandkids) of Aunt2.

I don't know too much of what started the riff in the first place, but Aunt2 and her daughters didn't come to my bridal shower because the daughters of Aunt1 helped my mom organize it. My shower was a complete surprise to me and I had no idea about anything.

So, I got RSVPs back, Aunt2s son and his wife along with Aunt2 responded yes... I am very happy about that. Aunt2s daughter responded no, and I'm incredibly offended. I understand that she's not getting along with some of the family but it has nothing to do with me.

Should I confront my cousin about how hurt I am or let it go?

If Aunt2 and son are both coming maybe daughter may just have something else going on. Is there anyone else that you can find out from without confronting her directly?

i would confront her... i HATE tiffs that are usually over stupidddddd things, especially when the kids stop talking to their relatives when it doesnt even involve them and they have no reason to cut off communication like that. Family is all you have in the end and i think she needs to realize that by perpetuating this dumb fight which probably never even included her whatsoever in the first place shes not only hurting you and your family but shes missing out on events and memories that she'll never be able to get back

sorry kinda long my family and fh's family does this and it bugs me to no end!

I think everyone has a few people in the family that are like this.

I think i'd see if she had another reason to say no.

I am not going to do anything about it, but I'm 99.9% sure she doesn't have anything else going on. My feelings are hurt, but I'll get over it. Like Joanna said... she's the one missing out, not me. My wedding will still be wonderful!

Hmmm could there be another reason why she isn't able to make it?
