question.........

my car is making this loud screeching noise (2002 2 door accord with 115k miles on it......THANKS FOR LIVING IN BK FH).....

so, I know its more than the brakes, I think axels or something else.....whatever....

I do need a new car becauseeee the airconditioning last year started flaking out towards september time....I let it go because it was Fall...........

would you just turn around and buy a new car if you were me orrrrr wait until you are married?? I guess I could fix it when they figure out what is wrong but is it worth putting tons of $$$ into an old car when more problems will probably just keep happening?? Should I wait until after the wedding??

I am confused! LOL.....anddd if you were to get a new car, finance or lease? I financed mine when I got it and they told me recently I could trade it in for 5k.....

Do you girls lease or finance?? Wait until after wedding or just get it now before more problems start and not bother fixing whats wrong with it now?

I'm in a similar boat. We took my car in and it's going to be a 3,000 job. I don't have the money to spend (because I am planning a wedding you know ) but I'm going to wait until after my wedding to buy a new car

Bring it in and find out the cost first. It might be easier to buy a new car.

I dont know what the screeching noise is...but last year my car was making a loud screeching noise. noise and it turned out to be the belt. It actually wasn't too much $$$ to repair. So if its not too much, scuk it up and wiat a few months.

2002 with 115k miles on is do-able for another few months. I'm finally selling my 97 honda with....146k milage on lol....and it could probably make it a few more months.

no, the ac he said will either be 800 or 2000 depending on which part is broken....they have to fix the 800 part to see if that works and if not, then they have to replace the entire system itself....I am not fixing either or those lol

$800 to MAAAAYBE fix it is NOT worth it. IMHO

ITA - its better to get a quote on what the price is for fixing the car.

If you decide to scratch it and get a new car, definitely consider financing a new car. Leasing is a waste of $$ in my opinion.

You don't want to deal with paying overcharges for miles you drove over the limit (most leases require you to drive only X amount of miles per year, if you go over - you are basically f**uc*ked.)
W/ interest rates low now, you could probably get a nice financing deal on a new Honda. I got 3.5% back in 2005 when I financed a Toyota.. Its worth the wait!! Cars are such depreciable assets!

My FH is a mechanic, do you want to go to him? He works in Elmont. I have a 1998 Honda Civic, and it's in pretty much good shape.

Bring it in and find out how much everything is going to cost to get it fixed. Then i'd make a decision.
