I think it's fine as long as FH is ok with it, and also as long as they're not a psycho ex who will try to stop your wedding!

yeah I agree, I have enough friends...and I'm not big on being friends with guys I dated.... I guess maybe it's differnt if you were friends first, but I dont know, to me its weird, but you do whatever works for you - its your day!

I'll definitely have at least one there...maybe 2.

We were friends foreverrrrrrrr before we dated and we were able to end our relationship maturely and recognize that we were better off as friends.

FH is very comfortable and secure with OUR relationship so it wouldn't be a problem. I would feel the exact same way if he invited an ex of his.

I think if both of you are secure in your relationship it isn't a big deal.

Okay, I am so glad this is brought up...although I forgot until you all reminded me.
So I keep in touch with an ex from HIGH SCHOOL. we lost touch and he recently found me on myspace. He contacted me and he's doing great, married with 2 kids, blah, blah, blah! He's the only ex I stayed cordial to due to the fact it was so long ago.

Anyway, I told him I was getting married and he atuomatically said oh I can't wait when is it so i can buy the ticket. Something like that.

I was like UHHHH!!! Dead on the other end

Anyway, I think he caught on and was like unless I'm not invited. I felt bad and said um well we are still working on guest list and size and such and if we have a small wedding famliy and friends only. He waslike okay I guess I'm out.

All I said was well I'll keep you posted. Of course he keeps on asking me details about the wedding. I try to avoid talking about it

How do I break it to him

How do people just invite themselves. I don't understand

I do not talk to any of my ex-boyfriends.. so they will not be invited.

FH's ex-girlfriend is a good friend of mine now.. who is going to be invited with her boyfriend of 7 years... its not weird at all. The fact that they even dated for a few months never comes up.. it was soo long ago.

If you've remained friends.. and there is no awkwardness.. and FH doesnt mind.. i dont see why you shouldnt invite them

I have a few coming to the wedding and two are even in it!

I have stayed friends with most of my Ex's and it helps that FH knew them all because we were all from the same group.

i dont think their is a problem as long as FH does not mind....

FH is inviting a well she wasnt really his girlfriend they kinda just 'hooked up' but I met her a couple times and she is one of his good friends from HS. He doesnt get to hang out with her really - but he tries to keep in touch and he will most likely invite her- i dont mind

as long as it wont be akward i dont think its a problem.. im inviting one of my ex bfs but we didnt really date long at all and we have been friends since high school... as for my FH for him to invite his one ex would be weird... cause there was like tension there.. and she wasnt too nice to me either!!!

None of my ex's will be there. I think it's fine to invite them though if you're friends with them and you and FH are comfortable with it.
