X-mas Work Parties?

Mine is coming up and we were just discussing here how it will be boring this year b/c the usual work W hoooo-a is no longer here anymore and she usually puts on a show for anyone...

Any good Work Xmas party stories?

FH's is in the marriot in CT
Mine is in the Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City and our NY Office one in Museum of Modern Art Cant wait.....

OOooo i just planned our Work Christmas Party
We are having it at Novita in Garden City

We have 20 people this year, its so awesome cause each year we keep getting bigger and bigger!!!

The only stories i have is that certain people drink ALOT and tend to get belligerent, but other than that its a nice dinner with alot of laughs

My former boss was so wasted and she wanted to give a speech. She kept saying from dust to dawn, several times, who knows why. Noone corrected her, just laughed...I found it hysterical b/c she embarrassed herself in front of 100 people (incl. clients).
At the time it was quite funny

about 6-7 years ago when i worked somewhere else we had a x-mas party that got a little too wild towards the end and infact it was all ppl talked about after and i think the manager had to talk to those involved.

It was at a restaurant in SOho, all was fine and after a while most ppl left...a bunch of us stayed though, mostly the younger ppl and we were able to invite ppl so i had invited my moh lol i was single at the time i guess. Anyways we were all at the bar drinking and there was a couple there they worked together also this younger girl who just started working there and a few others...well all of a sudden the guys girlfriend was kissing the new girl, then he did, then a 3 way kiss then others got into it, me, my moh and 2 other guys there all were like we didn't get involved...funny part is that those of us who didnt get involved were the ones who were more loud, one of the guys was crazy...those who got involved were the ones who were more reserved, and never would've thought they'd do it.

we're not having one so me and the 2 other ladies in my office are going out to dinner ourselves!

I love MOMA parties, I've been to a few events there and they're great. And, I was actually looking at Liberty House for my wedding...it ended up being too small and too expensive...plus I wasn't so hot about the area you had to drive through to get there, but the view was gorgeous!

Ours this year is at Tao. I can't wait. It's my first year with this company and I heard it gets pretty rowdy.

Ours is usally a good time. This year it's at Stage 6 Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. I guess it's an Abagail Kirsh location (we usually do it at one of her spots- for the past few years it's been at Chelsea Piers). First, I work with FH so a total plus- lol and our company is A LOT of young people (sales mostly). We use Tommy Tunes as a DJ too- lol so lots of dancing. There's usually approx 500 people or more . It's 12/14 (friday)

we used to have fun ones when i worked at waldbaum's i even went one year after i wasnt working there anymore! lol

but now we have parties at work - i am helping to plan it and we are ordering in hot food. . . its cool though because we have one for our office then one for our division so that is two days of no work!

Last years our NY Party was at Tao it was soooooooooo crowded

Our Jersey City one has the most action...people sleep together lol., we have Karoake at our party it gets sick

that's awesome. They had ours at Tao last year also and they used the DJ and everyone danced and got pretty $hitfaced, i'm told it was pretty wild.....everyone loved it so that's why they're having it again there, I've never been there so I'm excited. I work for a commercial real estate co. so it's all really young brokers....i was told to make sure I have my camera on me to catch the scandalous moments on film.

I would LOVE to see some drunk Karaoke though, that's so funny.

the food and drinks are good there...same owners as ps 450 and punch and judy (if uve been to either of those places).

mine's at the Garden City Hotel and FH's is at North Hills Country Club.. nothing good ever happens at either

I have a great christmas party story. We don't have one. The EMPLOYEES chip in something like $8 each and we buy our own food and have a little party in the office. It is so ghetto.

its $18 a person

the last 2 x-mas parties got way out of hand cuz my old co-worker was a big partier so she made sure everyone got drunk. and when your drunk your honest so my boss heard some not so good stuff about her but she didnt take it personal lol...this yr will be lame cuz all the old party coworkers are gone
