So I got my nails done for a wedding last week and again realized how much I love having a french manicure. I was going to get gel done for the wedding so my nails look good through the HM. I'm thinking I may just want to get it done now. My only concern is that I have very healthy and strong nails, and I really don't want to mess them up forever...
Thoughts/Advice??

I have been getting acrylics for about 11 years now, and they will definitely mess up your real nails! steer clear if you don't wanna mess your nails up! lol

I had acrylic for a few years and then stopped wearing them it took a yr for my nails to get back to their normal state. They are find now.

I had gel done for my wedding. I always had really strong good nails but wanted them to be PERFECT for my wedding and HM.
I had them put on about 10 days before the wedding and had them done again the day before. They looked amazing for the wedding and held up really well during my over 3-week HM.
I had them taken off the day after we got back from the HM and they destroyed my nails! The grooves just finished growing out a couple of weeks ago, so it took a good 3-3½ months.
However, my nails looked spectacular for the wedding and for my HM so it was worth it.

Don't do it!!! Keep your real nails. It will take a very long time to get them back to where they are now!
