X-post - How long is a catholic CEREMONY (not mass)?

I'm getting answers all over the map here -- trying to figure out details with my photographer. I've heard 50 minutes, I've heard 40....? Trying to figure things out so we get daylight hours for photography! :) TIA

Not a full mass? About a 1/2 hour.

My church told us it would be 45 minutes or longer if we do a unity candle, or a memory candle. All of those things will extend it

I'd say 25-40 minutes tops if you're not doing all the extras (unity candle, sand ceremony, etc.).

Chanty I kept hearing this and then the church secretary was telling me 45 mins!

I'm sure ours will be shorter...judging from the fact that I clicked off 'OMIT' to anything that could be omitted.

You know me!

It will depend on how big of a talker your priest is. Although not typical, ours was almost an hour!
