I'm working on a seating chart and I was wonderin - would it be weird if some tables 8 people and some had 9 or 10? I wanna have people sitting with people they know but the amounts are kind of weird...
ETA: do young babies get their own seat?? I'm clueless about this...

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
I would make all of the tables even. I would also give babies their own seats, b/c they probably need a high chair right?

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
I am going to do my best to make even tables but I know it may not happen. I think every person gets their own seat because even if their babies they might need a high chair and then it gets squooshy.

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
The problem is that there is very uneven numbers with families and stuff so I don't want to have everyone from a family at one table and then 2 of them have to sit at another table with people they don't know...

Then I think it's ok. It would be better to have happier guests!!

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
No one is going to notice that one table has 8 and the other has 9. It would be very noticeable 8 versus a table of 12. I wouldn't worry over making them even.

I wouldn't worry about it. We'll probably end up with somewhat uneven tables so we'll probably do this.

No, i dont think it's weird at all. I was planning on doing this because i wanted to keep people who were more comfortable with other guests together.

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
i was just at a wedding yesterday where each table had a different number of guests ranging from 12 to a table of 4. it looked really strange. i think though with a small difference like tables of 8-9, that should be fine. no one would notice.

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
I think its fine. Im having mostly tables of ten and some of 12... i may even need to have one thats 13...we will see....
as for babies, depends how old. If they need a high chair then yes. If not then maybe not... i'd ask parents where they normally keep them and what RH reccomends

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
I am going to do my best to do even numbers on tables. Some will have 8 others 10, maybe even some 12's. I don't want to do odd #'s this way if it is all couples and one person left out I don't want them to feel weird about it, or left at the table alone when everyone might be slow dancing.
I know my fam and we are def. gonna need some tables with more or less than others.

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
when it comes to doing tables, i am doing them according to family & friends who knew each other. i would never want to just be stuck at a table, so i wont be doing it to anyone else.

Re: X POST SEATING QUESTION
i plan on doing differnet amoutns of people at each table because there are some people who dont get along with others so that table would be a table of 8. & children.... my daughter is almost 3 and she sits on a chair so yes they need a seat unless they are a few months old then obviously they would be in their stroller.
