my FMIL informed me she is throwing me a shower this summer- which is pretty surprising since we do not get along too well. But the problem is it seems she is paying for it, but is expecting me to actually set it up- favors, guest list, games, etc. I have NEVER been to a bridal shower (my sister's friend threw her shower when she got married, and of the few girlfriends I have I am the first to get married). HELP!!! Whats an appropriate number of guests? What kind of favors? How long do they last? Brunch or lunch? I do not even know where to begin....

I love this stuff and will help you with whatever you need!!!! I think a good amount of people is anywhere from 30-50 depending on how big your wedding is (my mom is guaranteeing 50 for mine). I think the usual shower is 4 hours and it can be brunch, lunch, dinner, in a restaurant, in a catering hall or in a backyard - totally up to you!
I've seen some really cute favors!!! Mini pizza cutters, salt and pepper shakers, olive oil bottles, picture frames, candles. If you want to have a theme you could figure out what it is and then get a corresponding favor
