X-POST: time frame for wedding dress to come in...

I know I have a decent amount of time but, I ordered my dress back in feb of 08...The shop said they should have it in the store by this jan. does that sound right? it's a maggie sottero if it helps.

hmmm i know every designer is different..im not sure about maggies bec i didn't happen to look at her dresses (although so pretty!) but i know eve of milady's take about 9 months...so...i dunno if this helps!

i think that's about right..it would be 2 months before your wedding..i know a lot of dress shops will schedule them to come in that time frame so that your alterations dont have to be done more than needed

When I ordered my Maggie they told me to expect it to take 9 months to come in.

That seems like a long time based on what a few shops have told me. I was told 6-8 months for a Maggie. Good think you ordered it so soon if it doess take that long!!!!!

i am getting married in feb and am going next week to officially put my order in and they told me it would be in by nov or dec I cant remember exactly. and my dress is a maggie

Yup January sounds about right for a March wedding. Technically, if you ordered a Maggie in Feb'08, it should've been in in about 6 months. But I know a lot of stores will hold it, or even hold the order, until the time frame so the gown comes in about 6 weeks before the wedding.

I ordered my Eve of Milady gown on June 2, and am expecting it in March (EOM gowns take about 9-10 months). And I asked for a 'rush' delivery - I wanted it in in March instead of April for my own peace of mind.
