I ordered my dad an in-dash DVD player from Circuit City for about $500. I received it on Saturday and...
It was....
-used -damaged -serial number did not match box -older model sent in a new box. -all parts missing except unit. -box opened and ruined
Been contacting Circuit City nonstop...told 3-5 days to wait for a manager. Finally spoke to someone who will contact me back in 24 hours. I can't believe that would happen.
Ugh...I understand mistakes happen, but I'm panicking because xmas is days away.

Wow that's ridiculous, I heard they're going out of business, they probably cut all the people who deal with those kinds of issues. Sorry you had to experience that I hope it works out...

I went to circuit city, but they couldn't do anything about it because the item's code didn't match the serial number and it was missing parts.
They said I need to contact the 800 number and speak to a manager. I tried and she hung up on me saying I need to wait 3-5 days. I finally found an excutive number and got better results. Just waiting to find out what happens.

i have had numerous issues with Circut city... and so did a few of my friends. they are the worst company out there and i am NOT shocked that they went out of business

I had issues with circuit city a few years back and hate that store for it. i'm not surprised that they are going out of business either.

i f*ckin hate that company. so glad they're going out. i mean who else never had sales help on the floor, movies randomly thrown in no apparent order on the shelves and cds too?

that is a good point. they aren't going to want to hear someone carrying on. if you go and start to cause problems, they will take care of it.

but dont be too crazy when you deal with them, being too crazy doesnt get results all the time.
Thank the lord that circut city is going out of business, I have never ever had good experiences with them...

i think fh is the only1 that swears by cir city loll.. they price match.. so he buys everythign from there.. just bought him a digi cam last nite.

I'm another one for: don't leave the store until you get what you want. Not in a scene-causing way but in a 'You need to fix this, this is my hard-earned money, and there's IS something you can do about it.' kind of way.
I haven't shopped in Circuit City in years although there's one right by my house.. I'm more of a Best Buy girl.
