Paid $3500 for a tropical Jimmy Buffet cover band that we both love... :) They also played my brother's wedding and they were great.

We booked Opers 3000, and are paying $6,000. Worth every penny they are awesome

Were using Echoe Orchestras (516-766-6839).. 9 piece band - includes ceremony & cocktail hr is $5,800.

I am budgeting ~5K for a 5/6 piece jazz band. Whatever you do, make sure to see them LIVE at some point. I was 'sold' on one band based on their CD, when I saw them live I was rather disappointed.

Skyline Orchestras - fantastic band!! $5200 for an 8 piece band - including cocktail hour and ceremony.

$5500 for 3 bands from one company, Stolen Moments. We have a classical trip for the ceremony, calypso band for the CH, and 8 piece band, Moonlight Silhuettes for the reception. I was really impressed by them and they have monthly showings. Check out some music samples at www.stolenmoments.com
