I think as far as the work friends go, they probably shouldn't have been invited to the e-party in the first place. I think it would be a little rude not to invite them to the wedding, but if you don't plan on continuing a relationship with them, then don't invite them. I think inviting the cousins without dates would be fine, so long as they're not in serious relationships (living together, been together for years, or engaged). JMO

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
I have a similar situation - people who I was very friendsly with at work when we worked in the same office and now we haven't for over a year. And then someone who I was still planning on inviting publicly said something about never receiving his STD (which was sent) in front of the person I decided not invite anymore. But I felt guilty and ended up sending the person an STD. I'm in the midst of printing all my invite envelopes but am holding off this persons. I actually think I will probably invite and suspect he will decline ... fingers crossed ...

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
it's definitely ok with invite the cousins without guests, IMO. we had no problem with excluding 'and guest' if people were not in a serious relationship.
as for your co-workers, that's tricky. technically, it would be rude to not invite them to the wedding, since they were invited to the e-party. if you invite them, do you think they would come????? i don't think you can get away with inviting them without guests if they are married. i think 'technically' you need to invite them. although - if you don't plan on continuing a relationship with them, what's the worse that can happen if you don't invite them??
good luck!!

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
Invited FH's single cousins who are close to with guest (one has a girlfriend, other does not have boyfriend but felt it was right thing to do). I believe we 'guested' his other cousins who I have never met and are considerably older than us.
Only invited my cousin's on my father's side (too many cousins on my mother's side and I never see any of them) and they are all married.

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
I think that you dont really have to invite them anymore if you dont work there especially since you dont plan on keeping in touch with them. But if you do invite them you should invite them with guests if they are married. For the cousins, I do not think you need to invite them with a guest as long as they are not in a committed relationship.

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
those who you invited to e-party should be invited to the wedding - how would you feel if roles were reversed? it can be construed as impolite, but i can see 'getting away with it' if you are planning a 30-50 person affair...
i elected to invite everyone plus one, however most of my guests are couples. those who are single will feel more comfortable having someone they know with them. but if you have to cut you have to cut, tough choice...

Yes I know they should be, but I think they could understand that we needed to cut back due to space constraits. Plus 2 of the girls did not invite me to theirs for the same reason.
It is only 80 guests MAX
if they did it to you and you think they will understand, then you have your answer! don't sweat it...

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
I am in the same situation ... except that I really love my former co-workers and want them there. I did not have an e-party so don't have to worry about that aspect, but these people were really good to me at a really bad time in my life. They live about 5 hours away and my FI hasn't even met most of them, let alone their spouses. Our friendship was really based on work and work events alone w/o spouses anyway.
It's a tricky situation. I may ask them what they think, tell them my dilemma about guest list numbers and see what they say. They may very well suggest the idea coming by themselves anyway ... but it's a tricky conversation.
Are you close to these people? Can you ask them how they would feel about coming stag?

Re: SPINOFF: Guest lists
Omit away. It's your choice who is there.
$10 a piece is pretty cheap for an e-party gift, imo. I wouldnt let that be the deciding factor of who comes and who doesn't.
